Kyrgyzstan has called on the Turkish authorities to review the conditions of Kyrgyz citizens staying on the Turkish territory for simplification. This was reported on Friday by the press service of the Kyrgyzstan MFA.

"A meeting was held between Ambassador of Kyrgyzstan to Turkey Ruslan Kazakbaev and Head of the General Directorate for Consular Affairs of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Turkey Hayriye Nurdan Altuntas, during which they discussed issues of mutual travels and stay of citizens of the two states. With purpose of favorable conditions for travel, residence and labor activity of citizens of both states the possibility of mutual trips of citizens of Kyrgyzstan and Turkey with internal documents was discussed," the statement says.

During the meeting the parties discussed the possibility of excluding Kyrgyz citizens from the so-called black list that prohibits entering Turkey as well as the possibility of extending the visa-free regime for citizens of Kyrgyzstan in Turkey.

Currently, there is a simplified visa regime between Turkey and Kyrgyzstan. Kyrgyz citizens can freely stay in Turkish territory for up to 90 days, this regime does not give the right to work.
