Bishkek has appealed to both Israel and Iran to exercise restraint and refrain from further escalating the conflict, according to a statement released by the Kyrgyzstan Foreign Ministry.
"The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kyrgyzstan expresses deep concern over the escalating conflict between Iran and Israel and urges both parties to avoid any further military actions that could further destabilize the situation in the entire Middle East," the statement emphasized.
Kyrgyzstan also called upon both sides to seek a peaceful resolution to the conflict in line with the universally recognized principles and norms of international law, particularly the UN Charter.
Iran launched drones and missiles towards Israel on the evening of April 13, citing it as a response to multiple alleged offenses, including an airstrike on the consular section of the Iranian embassy in Damascus. Tehran stated that its strikes targeted military installations in Israel. The Israel Defense Forces reported intercepting approximately 99 percent of some 350 Iranian projectiles aimed at the Jewish state, resulting in minor damage to the Nevatim air base. No fatalities or severe injuries were reported in Israel.
