28 March

The Ministry of Labor, Social Security, and Migration of Kyrgyzstan has issued a warning regarding attempts to recruit Kyrgyz citizens, including minors, for terrorist acts within the territory of Russia.

According to a statement posted on the agency's website, recruiters are actively seeking individuals through social networks and popular messaging platforms such as Telegram. These recruiters target vulnerable individuals, including minors, through various online platforms, analyzing their correspondence in different groups based on religious, cultural, national, and other social factors.

The representation emphasized the need for caution among Kyrgyz citizens residing or temporarily staying in Russia, urging them not to succumb to provocations or seek employment opportunities through social networks. Additionally, citizens were advised to refrain from participating in any suspicious activities and to monitor the online activities of children closely.

Furthermore, the agency highlighted the serious legal consequences, reminding individuals that participation in terrorist acts is punishable by the criminal law of the Russian Federation, with penalties including life imprisonment.

This warning underscores the importance of vigilance and cooperation in combating terrorism and ensuring the safety and security of all individuals within Russia's borders.
