At the initiative of the Pakistani side, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov had a telephone conversation with Foreign Minister of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan Shah Mahmud Kureishi.
"The parties discuss issues of cooperation in the fight against the spread of a new coronavirus infection, as well as overcoming the economic consequences of the pandemic were discussed. Both sides stressed the need - as the sanitary and epidemiological situation stabilizes – to resume full-fledged formats of bilateral cooperation through parliaments, the interdepartmental trade and economic commission, and foreign ministries. They exchanged views on certain issues on the international agenda, including cooperation within the UN and the SCO," the message reads.
