In Finland today there will be a meeting between Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov and US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo.
The central topic of the negotiations will be Venezuela and other most pressing issues on the international agenda.
“We will discuss Venezuela, but not only Venezuela. We have a fairly rich agenda. There are many problems, tasks that need to be resolved internationally, on the world stage, and tasks related to global and regional security are also many”, the Russian Foreign Minister claimed at a press conference following a meeting with the Foreign Minister of Venezuela.
It should be noted that the meeting of the Heads of Diplomacy of Russia and the United States will be held on the margins of the Arctic Council meeting - a high-level Intergovernmental Forum established by Russia, Denmark, Iceland, Canada, Norway, the United States, Finland and Sweden in 1996.
