Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov presented Ambassador of the United Arab Emirates in Moscow Mohammed Ahmad al-Jaber with the Order of Friendship at a meeting on Wednesday.
"Lavrov praised al-Jaber's work as head of the UAE diplomatic mission in Russia and wished him further success in implementing tasks to promote traditionally friendly relations of strategic partnership between the two countries," the Russian foreign ministry said.
Earlier, Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a decree on awarding the ambassador with the Order of Friendship. The Emirati diplomat was awarded "for his great contribution to strengthening Russia-UAE relations."
