Lavrov confirmed to Kuwaiti Prime Minister Russia's readiness to help resolve conflicts

Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov in a telephone conversation with Kuwaiti Prime Minister Sabah Khalid Al-Hamad Al-Sabah on Monday outlined Moscow's readiness to develop relations with the Gulf Cooperation Council and help resolve conflicts in the region.


"A mutual interest in further development of interaction between Russia and the Cooperation Council of the Arab States of the Gulf to promote joint mutually beneficial projects and assist in the settlement of various regional conflicts was expressed," the Russian Foreign Ministry said in a statement.


In addition, the sides discussed prospects for further development of Russian-Kuwaiti relations, "including the strengthening of trade, economic and investment cooperation between the two countries." "The importance of maintaining the current positive dynamics of mutual trade was noted, as well as the resumption as the sanitary and epidemiological situation normalizes of the delegation exchange and cultural and humanitarian contacts," Smolensk Square pointed out.
