Lavrov describes interference in the Black Sea region as the purpose of the grain coalition

Attempts to organize an international coalition to solve the grain export problem are aimed at interfering in the situation in the Black Sea region. This was stated by Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov at a press conference following the talks with Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir Abdollahian.

"Attempts to organize some kind of international coalition to carry out these procedures are aimed solely at interfering in the affairs of the Black Sea region under the auspices of the UN. And we can see this perfectly well," he said.

Lavrov noted that "there is no problem with withdrawing the grain without piling up such schemes and giving the ships, which are trapped by the Ukrainians in the mined ports of the Black Sea, an opportunity to get out of there".

At the same time, the Russian Foreign Minister stressed that in international waters Russia guaranteed the safety of ships to the Bosporus Strait. "We have an understanding with Turkey on this issue," he added.
