Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov held a telephone conversation with German Foreign Minister Heiko Maas at the initiative of the German side. The main topic of discussion was the situation in Syria, in particular, in the context of the implementation of the Russian-Turkish Memorandum.
"The parties discussed Syria, including developments in the northeastern regions in the context of the implementation of the Memorandum of Understanding between the Russian Federation and Turkey, signed on October 22, 2019, as well as the situation in the Idlib de-escalation zone," the message reads.
