Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov and Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir Abdollahian discussed the situation around the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) on Iran's nuclear program and Ukraine by phone on Friday, the Russian Foreign Ministry said in a statement issued after the call.
"The main attention was paid to the situation around negotiations on the resumption of full implementation of the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action on the Iranian nuclear program, including in the context of the session of the Board of Governors of the International Atomic Energy Agency opening on June 6," the statement said.
"There was also an interested exchange of views on key issues of bilateral relations and a number of topical regional and international problems, including the situation in Ukraine," the Russian MFA added.
