Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov and Tunisian Prime Minister Hisham Mashishi discussed cooperation in fighting the coronavirus and interaction on international platforms by phone.
"The parties considered topical issues of further development of diversified Russian-Tunisian relations, including interaction in the fight against the new coronavirus infection," the Russian Foreign Ministry said in a statement released on Wednesday following the conversation held the day before.
The two countries confirmed their mutual interest in deepening foreign policy coordination, including on the platform of the UN Security Council, in order to facilitate the speedy settlement of crisis situations in North Africa and the Middle East, the ministry added.
