During the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) events in Jakarta, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov held discussions with his Indonesian counterpart, Retno Marsudi, regarding the development of security architecture in the Asia-Pacific region (APR). The Russian foreign ministry issued a statement on Wednesday, outlining the key topics addressed during the meeting.
"The focus of the discussion centered around practical aspects of bilateral cooperation, including the formation of security architecture in the Asia-Pacific region. Additionally, the ministers emphasized the priority tasks of interaction on ASEAN-centric platforms and further advancement of the Russia-ASEAN strategic partnership," the statement reads.
Lavrov is scheduled to have several other bilateral meetings during his visit to Indonesia, which will extend until July 14.
