Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov has invited his Indonesian counterpart Retno Marsudi to visit Russia on a return visit and expressed hope for a quick meeting.
"I have invited Retno Marsudi to visit Russia. And I hope this will happen soon," the foreign minister said on Tuesday at a press conference following talks with the Indonesian foreign minister.
The Indonesian foreign minister was last in Moscow in March 2018.
Lavrov arrived in Jakarta the day before. He is also scheduled to meet with Indonesian President Joko Widodo in the Indonesian capital, as well as participate in Russia-ASEAN anniversary events.
