Any increase in military capabilities will lead to new risks. Commenting on the statement by US President Donald Trump about the intention to additionally send one and a half thousand troops to the Middle East, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov claimed it.
“As for President Trump’s decision to send one and a half thousand servicemen in addition to those deployed in the Middle East and North Africa region, well, you know, whenever the military potential rises, the risks increase. I hope very much that the sensible voices that are heard from Washington, including the respected military leaders of the former, politicians, diplomats about the recklessness of the idea of war against Iran that the voices will be heard. At least we have reason to hope for it. Not everyone in the American leadership is obsessed with aggressive aspirations”, the Head of the Russian Foreign Affaires Ministry mentioned.
It is known that over the past few months, relations between Iran and the United States have deteriorated significantly. Now in the Persian Gulf is the strike force of the Navy, headed by the aircraft carrier "Abraham Lincoln" and a tactical bomber group.
