Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov emphasized the strong and trusting nature of the relations between Russian President Vladimir Putin and Bahraini King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa during a meeting with Bahraini Foreign Minister Abdullatif bin Rashid Al Zayani on Monday.
"The bilateral relations between the leaders of the Russian Federation and the Kingdom of Bahrain are at a high level and built upon mutual trust," Lavrov stated.
"We are grateful to you for accepting our invitation and agreeing to hold the sixth round of the Russia-GCC (Cooperation Council for the Arab States of the Persian Gulf - TASS) strategic dialogue in Moscow," Lavrov added.
