Lavrov: Israel Shouldn't Believe Everything Is Permissible Due to the Horrors of the Holocaust

18 January

Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov, during a press conference on the outcomes of Russian diplomacy in 2023, said that Israel should not believe it has unrestricted freedom of action solely based on the past horrors of the Holocaust.

Lavrov emphasized that Israel should not interpret its historical suffering during World War II as a carte blanche for unlimited actions in the present day.

"Israelis should not even be given the impression that because they suffered in World War II, they are allowed everything today," he pointed out.
