Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov received Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Kazakhstan to the Russian Federation Imangali Tasmagambetov in connection with the completion of his ambassadorship in Moscow.
During the conversation, which, according to the press service of the Russian Foreign Ministry, took place in a friendly and trust-based atmosphere, Lavrov thanked Tasmagambetov for his constructive cooperation and a significant contribution to strengthening Russian-Kazakhstani relations based on the principles of strategic partnership, neighbourliness and alliance.
Earlier it became known that Imangali Tasmagambetov was relieved of his duty due to achievement of retirement age. The corresponding decree was signed by the President of the Republic Kassym-Jomart Tokayev.
