Kazakhstan and Russia are actively cooperating and effectively responding to emerging challenges amid the global crisis, stated Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov in his address to participants of the international industrial exhibition Expo Eurasia Kazakhstan 2024.

"Russia and Kazakhstan share long-standing, good-neighborly relations of alliance and strategic partnership. In the current turbulent geopolitical conditions, we continue to actively interact, effectively and promptly responding to emerging challenges," read Lavrov's message, which was delivered at the forum by Maria Simakova, Vice-Consul of the Russian Consulate General in Almaty.

"Kazakhstan is among our most important trade and economic partners. In Moscow, priority attention is traditionally given to developing practical cooperation with Astana," the address emphasized. The business forum and industrial exhibition, which opened in Almaty on Wednesday, features over 300 Russian and Kazakh industrial companies.

According to the organizers, the exhibition will showcase innovative developments in construction, energy, mechanical engineering, the electronic industry, transport, IT technologies, finance, higher and secondary professional education, and other sectors.
