Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov presented state awards to Russian citizens - employees of the CIS Executive Committee on Thursday.
"Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov presented state awards of the Russian Federation to employees of the CIS Executive Committee - citizens of Russia in a solemn ceremony on December 22," the Russian Foreign Ministry said in a statement.
The ministry noted that in his speech Lavrov praised the work of the CIS Executive Committee and the significant contribution of its employees to the operative and effective solution of the multifaceted tasks facing the commonwealth, "pointed to the relevance of CIS mechanisms in ensuring the progressive development and strengthening of cooperation between its member states."
