Russia will cope with its economic problems and will come out of the crisis with a healthier mind and without any illusions about the West being a reliable partner, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said on Thursday at a press conference following talks with Ukrainian and Turkish Foreign Ministers Dmitry Kuleba and Mevlut Cavusoglu.

"As for our economic problems, we will cope with them. We have coped with difficulties at all stages of our history when these difficulties arose. But this time, I assure you, we will emerge from this crisis with completely revitalized psychology and revitalized consciousness," he said.

"We won't have any illusions that the West can be a reliable partner. We won't have any illusions that when the West talks about its values, it believes in its incantations. And we will have no illusions that the West will betray at any moment. Betray anyone and betray their own values," the minister stressed.

"As for the state of the economy of the Russian Federation - we will take care of it ourselves. The President is in charge of this, our government is in charge of this," he said. - "I can assure you that we will do it. We will do our best not to depend on the West in the areas of our life that are crucial to our people".

"Where has it been seen that the right of private property has been trampled on with the snap of two fingers? Where has it been seen that the presumption of innocence as a pillar of the legal system of the West was simply ignored and flagrantly violated," Lavrov added.

According to Lavrov, Russia will be able to solve its economic problems so that it will never again depend on Western governments and companies. "We will solve this problem so that we will never again depend in any way on Western partners, whether they are governments or whether they are companies that are not at all guided by their business interests, but have become an instrument of the political aggression that Russia is now experiencing from the West," he said.
