The upcoming visit of Russian President Vladimir Putin to Saudi Arabia will give a powerful additional impetus to the bilateral partnership and promote it to a new level, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov told Arabic-language media "Asharq Al-Awsat".
"I am confident that the talks at the highest level will give an additional impetus to our multi-faceted partnership, will put it on a new level and enhance mutual understanding between our two peoples”, - noted, in particular, the diplomat.
Sergey Lavrov also recalled that Russia and Saudi Arabia are supporters of a resolute fight against terrorism, who know firsthand "what grief and destruction extremist ideology brings".
The Russian Foreign Minister also noted the potential for cooperation growth between the two countries in industry, energy, agriculture, infrastructure, transport, natural resources and advanced technologies.
