Lavrov to Attend Diplomatic Forum in Turkey

Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov is scheduled to visit Turkey on March 1-2 to participate in a diplomatic forum in Antalya and engage in discussions with Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan. Maria Zakharova, the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, told a briefing.

 

"On March 1-2, the Russian Foreign Minister will travel to Turkey at the invitation of the Turkish Foreign Minister to partake in the Antalya diplomatic forum. Discussions between the Russian Foreign Minister and his Turkish counterpart will cover a wide array of topics, primarily focusing on the state and future prospects of bilateral cooperation," Zakharova stated.

 

She highlighted that the agenda will encompass cooperation in energy, security, banking, and tourism sectors. Additionally, there will be comprehensive exchanges on regional and international issues, including the situation in Ukraine, the Transcaucasus, Palestinian-Israeli affairs, as well as developments in Syrian and Libyan settlements. Zakharova also noted that discussions will include planning bilateral contacts across various levels.
