"We expect Sergey Lavrov to arrive in New York in the second half of April. He will chair an open debate on April 24 on the topic of effective multilateralism through defense of the principles of the UN Charter," Nebenzya noted. - "Our intention is to hold a comprehensive, forward-looking strategic discussion on the contours of the new world order that is replacing the unipolar one."

"We urge the UN members to look beyond the horizon of the current moment and set out their vision of how we could work together to build a truly multipolar world in which the interests of all states would be guaranteed," the interlocutor told TASS. - "For this purpose it is important to discuss the issue of defending the goals and principles of the UN Charter, including the sovereign equality of states. Such a discussion is long overdue."
