Foreign Ministers of Russia, Azerbaijan and Armenia Sergey Lavrov, Ceyhun Bayramov and Ararat Mirzoyan will hold a trilateral meeting in Dushanbe on the margins of the CIS Ministerial Council.

"Also here today we have a good opportunity to hold a trilateral meeting with our Armenian counterpart [Ararat Mirzoyan], to see how the three trilateral statements that were adopted by our presidents over the past year and a half are implemented," Lavrov said at the bilateral meeting with Bayramov.

Lavrov stressed that their meeting comes at a time when Russian-Azerbaijani relations have reached a qualitatively new level, the level of allied cooperation. "Any opportunity to review the situation, to see how the specific tasks set by the presidents are carried out, is very and very valuable. I also want to note that this year we celebrate the 30th anniversary of diplomatic relations, a number of very colorful and bright events are preparing, in the near future we should prepare for publication a collection of Russian-Azerbaijani documents," Lavrov said.

The Russian foreign minister also noted the economic cooperation between Moscow and Baku. "Two weeks ago we had another meeting in Baku, and it seems to us that it was very useful to move in the direction of all decisions of our leaders. We expect that in the second half of the year we will be able to organize another inter-regional forum, which in its time was initiated by President [of Azerbaijan Ilham] Aliyev, and since then we have 70 regions participating in the events that are organized within the framework of this forum," he added.
