On Thursday, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov will start his work at the 77th session of the UN General Assembly (UNGA) with a meeting with the foreign ministers of the CSTO member states, Russian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Maria Zakharova said on Wednesday.
"Tomorrow the program starts, with the traditional for the political week of the CSTO General Assembly meeting held by the CSTO foreign ministers, here tomorrow morning, New York time, Sergey Viktorovich Lavrov will start his day with participation in this very event," she said.
Zakharova added that during the flight of the Russian delegation to New York, the Astana format meeting in the margins of the General Assembly session, which is also scheduled for Thursday, was already planned.
Earlier, Russian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Maria Zakharova said that Lavrov was scheduled to speak at a meeting of the General Assembly itself and about 20 bilateral meetings in New York.
