Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov will visit Turkey on April 6-7 at the invitation of Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu. The sides will discuss bilateral cooperation, Ukraine, Syria and Nagorno-Karabakh. Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova told a briefing on Thursday.
"From April 6 to 7, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov will visit Turkey at the invitation of his Turkish counterpart. During the contacts it is planned to discuss a wide range of problems, first of all the state and prospects of bilateral cooperation in the areas of mutual interest, including trade, energy, and tourism.
There will be a detailed exchange of views on topical issues on the regional and international agenda, including the current situation in Ukraine, the Syrian, and Nagorno-Karabakh settlements, as well as in Central Asia and Afghanistan," she said.
Also, she added, the foreign ministers will work out "a schedule of bilateral contacts at various levels" during the talks.
