Lavrov told Kuwaiti Foreign Minister about Russian special operation and negotiations with Ukraine

Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov discussed the situation in Ukraine in light of Russia's special military operation and the progress of peace talks with representatives of the Ukrainian authorities over the phone with Kuwaiti Foreign Minister Ahmed Nasser al-Sabah on Monday, the Russian diplomatic office said in a statement.


"Lavrov informed al-Sabah in detail about the development of the situation in Ukraine in the light of the implementation of the special military operation and the course of peace talks with representatives of the Ukrainian authorities. It was particularly emphasized that in carrying out the tasks of demilitarization and denazification of Ukraine, our unconditional priority is to ensure the safety of the civilian population," Smolensk Square pointed out.


The sides also discussed topical issues of further development of traditionally friendly Russian-Kuwaiti relations, including the strengthening of trade, economic and investment cooperation, the foreign ministry added.
The discussion was initiated by the Kuwaiti side.
