Beirut counts on Moscow's support in resolving Lebanon's accumulated disagreements, Lebanese Foreign Minister Abdallah Bou Habib said on Monday at talks with Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov.
"We expect to discuss the situation in Lebanon of a political and economic nature. We are counting on Russia's support in resolving the accumulated disagreements in Lebanon," he said.
The head of the Lebanese diplomatic mission also drew his Russian counterpart's attention to the fact that he expected to learn Moscow's position on many international and regional problems. He thanked Lavrov for warm congratulations on the occasion of his birthday and also on Lebanon's Independence Day, which is celebrated in Lebanon on November 22.
