Libya has recognized the terrorist group "Muslim Brotherhood"

Libyan Parliament has voted to recognize the Islamic Group "Muslim Brotherhood" as a terrorist group and to ban its activities in the country. According to Al-Arabiya TV channel, the Deputies of the House of Representatives sitting in Tobruk have approved this initiative by a majority of votes.

 

 


It is alleged that now in Libya continue to operate in parallel two centers of power - recognized by the international community the Government of National Accord Fayez al-Sarraj in Tripoli and the temporary Cabinet of Ministers Abdullah Abdurrahman Al-Thani, which operates in the east of the country together with the elected parliament and supported by the Libyan National Army Khalifa Haftar.

 

 


On April 4th, Haftar’s army claimed the launch of an operation against “terrorists operating in Tripoli”.
