The situation in Gaza has exposed the double standards of several countries within the international community, according to Acting Foreign Minister of Libya’s Government of National Unity, Taher Al-Baour. He shared this perspective in an interview with TASS at the first Russia-Africa Ministerial Conference.
“Since October 7 last year, many positions in the Middle East region have shifted. What we have seen in Gaza has unmasked the international community, which speaks of human rights and international law. The issue of double standards has become even more apparent in our society,” he stated.
Al-Baour noted that Libya condemned Israel’s excessive violence in Palestine from the outset. “Unfortunately, this is the reality of the international community today. What we see in Gaza is a complete genocide. Libya has joined South Africa in the International Criminal Court regarding the issue of genocide occurring in Gaza,” he added.
