Libya is interested in intensifying cooperation with Russia in agriculture

Prime minister of the Government of National Accord of Libya Fayez al-Sarraj announced his intention to discuss cooperation between the two countries in agriculture during the Russia – Africa Summit, the Head of Russian Contact Group on Intra-Libyan Settlement Lev Dengov told RIA Novosti.

 

In particular, according to him, the Libyan side is interested in buying Russian grain.


"Al-Sarraj came to the Summit with great interest to demonstrate his interest in the work and cooperation in the economic aspect between Russia and Libya. Issues of cooperation in the field of agriculture will be discussed, including the purchase of Russian wheat, " Dengov said, in particular.


The Russia – Africa Summit is held today in Sochi under the co-chairmanship of the presidents of Russia and Egypt Vladimir Putin and Abdel Fattah el-Sisi. The event is attended by the leaders of 43 African states.
