In the coming days, Marshal Khalifa Haftar's Libyan National Army (LNA) will unveil a roadmap for the country's transition, the official representative of the LNA, Major General Ahmed al-Mismari said.
"Within a few days, a roadmap for the transition period will be announced. The period will be headed by Marshal Haftar. It also provides for the adoption of a new constitutional declaration," he said, in particular.
Yesterday, the LNA announced the cessation of all hostilities in the country.
"In response to the call of friendly countries to stop fighting in the Holy month of Ramadan, the General Command declares a unilateral cessation of military operations, reserving the right to respond immediately and harshly to any violations by terrorist groups," al - Mismari added.
On April 27, Haftar announced that he was taking over the administration of Libya, invalidating the Skhirat agreement, which provided for the creation of authorities in Libya, in particular, the GNA and the Presidential Council (serves as the head of state).
The decision of Marshal was viewed negatively by most states. The UN said it supports a political settlement agreement in Libya and opposes any changes achieved by military means.
Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said that Moscow does not approve the statement of the commander of the LNA on "his own decision on how Libyan people will live".
