On May 19, 2023, a meeting of the Group of Strategic Vision «Russia – Islamic World» (Group, GSV "Russia — Islamic World") on the topic "Russia – Islamic World: traditional spiritual and moral values as the basis of interreligious cooperation" will be held in the Kazan City Hall (Russian Federation). The meeting of the Group is held during the International Economic Forum "Russia – Islamic World: KazanForum" 2023 (May 18-19).
At the meeting of the Group, it is planned to address a wide range of problems related to the state and prospects of interreligious cooperation between Russia and the member states of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation.
Special attention is paid to issues of protecting and promoting common spiritual and moral values, preserving historical, cultural
and civilizational heritage of the peoples of Russia and Muslim countries.
The meeting of the GSV "Russia — Islamic World" is intended to become a significant milestone on the way to deepening the dialogue between the political and religious leaders of Russia and the states of the Islamic world.
The meeting of the Group is held under the leadership of its Chairman Rais (Head) of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov. On the Russian side, His Holiness Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and all Rus', Deputy Chairman of the Government of the Russian Federation Marat Khusnullin, Advisor to the President of the Russian Federation Anton Kobyakov, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation Mikhail Bogdanov, Chairman of the Central Religious Board of Muslims, Grand Mufti of Russia Talgat Tajuddin; Chairman of the Religious Board of Muslims of the Russian Federation, Chairman of the Council of Muftis of Russia Ravil Gainutdin, heads of Russian regions and other prominent representatives of government, religious, public, scientific and business circles will attend the event.
