More than 300 Syrian Islamists have been transferred through Gaziantep to the conflict zone in Nagorno-Karabakh, France confirms that this is a proven fact, Russia also has this information. This was stated by French President Emmanuelle Macron on Friday at a briefing on the first day of the EU summit.

Macron added that France is in close contact with the OSCE Minsk Group co-chairs Russia and the United States on the situation in Karabakh and is preparing peace initiatives with them.

"I can state that more than 300 Syrian Islamist fighters, previously evacuated from the Aleppo region, have been moved through Gaziantep to the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict zone (to take part in the hostilities on the Azerbaijani side, supported by Turkey - TASS). This is a confirmed fact, these people have been identified and traced, all of them have ties to the terrorist organization "Islamic State" (ISIS, banned in Russia). I discussed this with President Vladimir Putin, who confirmed that Russia also has that data," Macron said.

"This [Turkey's] behavior is not worthy of a NATO member country, we consider such actions completely unacceptable. In this case, the red line is already crossed," he emphasized.

"Russia, the United States and France, as co-chairs of the OSCE Minsk Group, will take a number of initiatives to end the conflict in Nagorno-Karabakh in the near future. We are in close working contact," he said.
