The international economic summit "Russia - Islamic World: KazanSummit", which has started has the day before in the capital of Tatarstan, helps to establish cooperation with Muslim countries.
This was stated in her welcoming address to the participants of the large-scale Forum by the Chairman of the Federation Council, Valentina Matvienko.
“We cooperate with the international structures of the Islamic world and with the Organization of Islamic Cooperation. The most ambitious joint project is the annual International Economic Summit "Russia - Islamic World: KazanSummit". This special event makes it possible to find common ground on a wide range of issues with a number of Islamic states”, Matvienko reported, which Ilyas Umakhanov, Deputy Chairman of the Federation Council, has read at the plenary session.
It is known, that participation in the KazanSummit is traditionally attended by Representatives of International Organizations, Government Agencies and businessmen from dozens of Muslim countries.
