An explosion at an educational center in western Kabul killed 32 people and injured at least 40 others. It was reported on Friday by Al Jazeera with reference to a source in the interim government of Afghanistan formed by the radical movement Taliban (banned in the Russian Federation).
Earlier, the channel reported that as a result of the explosion, at least 20 people were killed and 35 were wounded. Meanwhile, the page of the "Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan" (the name of the state used by the Taliban) in Twitter gives information about the death of 19 people and 27 wounded.
Ariana News earlier reported, citing sources, that the explosion occurred in the Kaj educational center in Dasht-e Barchi in the west of the city. According to the newspaper, an Interior Ministry spokesman in the Taliban government, Abdul Nafi Tahora, confirmed the information about the explosion. Security forces arrived at the scene.
In recent months, a series of bombings, armed attacks and shootings targeted both Taliban supporters and civilians occurred in several provinces of Afghanistan, including the capital region. The Islamic State in Khorasan, an offshoot of the Islamic State terrorist organization banned in the Russian Federation, has claimed responsibility for many of these incidents.
