At least 64 people were killed across different areas of Gaza on March 30 following Israeli airstrikes, according to Al Jazeera.
The Qatari news outlet, citing local sources, reported that the bombings hit Jabalia, Deir al-Balah, Gaza City, Khan Yunis, and nearby areas. Gaza’s Health Ministry has not yet confirmed these figures.
The Palestinian group Hamas claims that children are among the casualties.
On March 18, Israel resumed military operations in Gaza, launching heavy airstrikes and ending the ceasefire that had been in place since January.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s office stated that the renewed offensive was in response to Hamas allegedly rejecting peace proposals brokered by international mediators, including US envoy Steve Witkoff.
Hamas blames Israel and the US for the collapse of the ceasefire.
Since March 18, at least 921 Palestinians have been killed and 2,054 injured, according to official reports.
