About 100 Palestinians were injured Wednesday in clashes with Israeli police at the Al-Aqsa Mosque in Jerusalem. More than 400 people were detained in the raid, Al Mayadeen TV reported.
WAFA earlier reported, citing sources, that Israeli forces stormed the mosque Tuesday night, using stun grenades and tear gas as well as rubber bullets and batons. According to the Palestinian Red Crescent, police prevented health services from reaching the scene.
The Israeli army press office reported Wednesday morning that nine rockets were fired at Israel from the Gaza Strip, one of which hit a factory in the city of Sderot.
The foreign ministries of Egypt, Jordan, and Saudi Arabia strongly condemned Israel's actions, Reuters reported.
