Media: death toll in Indonesia earthquake rises to seven

The death toll from Friday's earthquake in Indonesia rose to seven. This was reported by the Xinhua News Agency with reference to the authorities of the province of West Sumatra. 


According to their information, 85 more people were injured. About 5 thousand residents of the area affected by the quake were evacuated. 


Earlier it was reported about two deaths and dozens of injured. 


On Friday, the Euro-Mediterranean Seismological Center reported a magnitude 6.0 earthquake on the Indonesian island of Sumatra. The epicenter was in 74 km to the North-West from Bukittingi town (population 98.7 thousand people), situated in West Sumatra province. The source was located at a depth of 30 km.
