Media: Egypt to Open Rafah Border Crossing on January 31

31 January

Egypt will reopen the Rafah border crossing on the Gaza Strip border this Friday, with the Palestinian Authority (PA) taking over its management on the Palestinian side, Al-Qahera Al-Ikhbariya reported.

According to the channel, the gates of the crossing have already been opened, allowing the evacuation of wounded and ill Palestinians for medical treatment in Egypt. Ambulances are on standby at the border, ready to transport patients to hospitals if necessary.

However, the channel noted that it cannot confirm whether the first evacuees will be transported on Friday itself but expects that dozens of injured individuals will be evacuated to Egypt in the coming days.

So far, official Cairo has not commented on this information.
