Media: Erdogan may propose a temporary cease-fire in Ukraine at a meeting in Lviv

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan at talks in Lviv on Thursday with his Ukrainian counterpart Vladimir Zelensky and UN Secretary-General António Guterres may make the initiative of a temporary cease-fire in Ukraine, as well as Ankara mediation in the exchange of prisoners by the parties to the conflict, NTV reported, citing government sources.


Erdogan also plans to propose resuming the Istanbul negotiation process and making Turkey a platform for a meeting between the presidents of Russia and Ukraine.


The Turkish leader, according to NTV, will also support extending the mechanism of the grain deal to other types of products, and the very model of the "product deal" will be proposed to take as a basis for the settlement of the situation in Ukraine.
