The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC, the elite units of the Iranian armed forces) on Tuesday began conducting military exercises in the Persian Gulf, the first time in the course of maneuvers using information obtained from the military satellite "Nur". This is reported by the Fars news agency, with reference to the IRGC's press service.
The exercises are held with the participation of the military space and naval forces of the corps. The maneuvers will involve intelligence units of the IRGC, as well as unmanned aerial vehicles.
On April 22, Iran launched its first military satellite called Nur. The device was launched into an orbit with a height of 425 km using a carrier rocket "Gased".
