Israel should be prepared for possible military confrontation with Turkey, according to a report by The Jerusalem Post citing the Nagel Committee.
The report suggests that Turkey's ambitions to revive the influence of the Ottoman Empire could lead to direct conflict with Israel, potentially escalating into a military clash.
"The threat from Syria could evolve into something more dangerous than the Iranian threat," the report states, warning that Syrian forces backed by Turkey could destabilize the region further.
The Nagel Committee, established by the Israeli government in 2024, was tasked with analyzing the defense budget and developing comprehensive security strategies.
