Media: Israeli Air Force Hits More Than 20 Villages in Southern Lebanon

08 November 2023

Israeli Air Force fighter jets launched an attack in southern Lebanon in response to an attack by Hezbollah militants on the Golan Heights.

According to Al Jadeed, more than 20 localities were targeted. One of the missiles struck a three-story house in the village of Yater, which housed Syrian refugees, resulting in injuries. The raid also caused destruction in Beit Lif, Kafra, Marwanieh, and Qaouzah in the Bint Jbeil border district.

Shiite militia air defenses attempted to target one of the Israeli planes by firing a surface-to-air missile. A video of the missile being launched at an aerial target was shared on Hezbollah's Telegram channel.

The Israeli Air Force conducted airstrikes deep into Lebanon and was observed in the skies over the Deir Ez Zahrani, Aadloun, and Nusariya neighborhoods near Saida, which is located 40 kilometers from Beirut. Israeli fighter jets also flew over Beirut and the Beqaa Valley in the eastern part of the country. The strikes primarily targeted a Hezbollah military base in Aaramta, located 20 kilometers from the border.

Furthermore, the Israel Defense Forces artillery shelled the border village of al-Duheira on Tuesday evening, firing 15 shells.
