The Palestinian group Hamas has agreed to release the Thai hostages without any preconditions, as reported by Al Araby Al Jadeed. Iran played a role in providing information about the kidnapped Thai citizens in the Gaza Strip and acted as a mediator in the negotiations for their release.
According to an update from the Thai Foreign Ministry, 39 Thai nationals lost their lives, and 26 were kidnapped during Hamas militants' activities in Israel. Before the conflict, approximately 30 thousand Thai citizens were in Israel, with around 8 thousand expressing a desire to return home through evacuation flights. On October 28, the Thai Prime Minister urged citizens to promptly leave Israel due to the heightened possibility of hostilities following intensified IDF ground operations in the Gaza Strip.
