Explosions rocked the suburbs of Damascus, with the country's air defense forces successfully intercepting an aerial attack, according to the Al Ekhbaria TV channel. The source of these attacks was reportedly Israeli aviation, which carried out missile strikes on the outskirts of the Syrian capital.
Subsequently, the Al Watan newspaper, citing military sources, reported that four soldiers lost their lives due to the Israeli airstrikes, while four more sustained injuries. The assault occurred at 02:20 from the direction of the Israeli-occupied Golan Heights.
As per the publication, a portion of the missiles were successfully intercepted by the Syrian air defense forces.
On July 19, the Syrian foreign ministry sent a message to the UN Security Council denouncing the Israeli Air Force's attack on the outskirts of Damascus, resulting in injuries to two soldiers. The message underscored that Israel has consistently launched missile strikes on Syrian soil, a pattern that emerged after extremist groups failed to weaken the country and its people.
