The Israel Defense Forces have initiated similar operations in two additional cities in the West Bank, namely the settlements of Sair and Yatta in Hebron province, following the completion of a 60-hour raid in Jenin. Al Jazeera reported on the ongoing operations that commenced on the night of December 15.
During the Jenin raid, the Israel Defense Forces reported the detention of 60 individuals suspected of involvement in terrorist activities, along with the seizure of over 50 weapons and hundreds of explosive devices. Additionally, more than 10 underground mines and seven explosives laboratories were discovered. The Israeli side stated that over 10 Palestinians were killed, and eight IDF soldiers were wounded in the course of the operation.
In response, Palestinian presidential spokesman Nabil Abu Rudeina conveyed that 12 Palestinians were killed, and dozens were wounded during the Israeli army raid.
