Media Reports Israeli Tanks Return to Northern Gaza Strip

17 April

Israeli tanks have re-entered the northern Gaza Strip, a region they vacated a few weeks prior, as per a report from Saudi TV channel Al Arabiya.

"On Tuesday, Israeli tanks re-entered the northern Gaza Strip, which they had departed from a few weeks ago. Local reports indicate that the tanks advanced into Beit Hanoun and surrounded several schools housing internally displaced families," the TV channel stated. Additionally, residents have reported internet disruptions in the Beit Hanoun and Jabalia neighborhoods.

Beit Hanoun, inhabited by approximately 60,000 people, was among the first areas targeted by Israel's ground offensive in Gaza last October. Following the Israeli withdrawal in recent weeks, many families had returned to Beit Hanoun and Jabaliya. However, reports now indicate that they are being displaced once again due to the renewed military activity in the area.
