Turkish Foreign Ministry spokesman Tanju Bilgic has been appointed ambassador of the Republic of Turkey to Moscow, TRT reported on Friday, citing diplomatic sources.
Bilgic has been the official representative of the Turkish foreign ministry since 2021. Before that, he was ambassador to Belgrade.
Bilgic, 52, who previously worked in Russia, will replace Mehmet Samsar, Turkey's ambassador to Moscow since January 2019.
According to TRT, President Tayyip Erdogan also issued a decree appointing Turkish ambassadors to France, Poland, Spain, Ukraine, several other countries and international organizations.
Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan announced the diplomats' appointments, the channel said.
