UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres has arrived at the Rafah crossing point, situated in the northern part of the Sinai Peninsula on Egypt's border with the Palestinian Gaza Strip. This development was reported by the TV channel Al-Qahira al-Ihbariya.
Based on available information, Guterres plans to personally oversee the passage of the first trucks through the land crossing at Rafah from Egypt to Gaza. These trucks will be transporting humanitarian aid for the residents of the Palestinian enclave.
Previously, the TV channel had reported on the secretary-general's arrival in the Egyptian city of El-Arish, located in the northern region of the Sinai Peninsula.
